At Bring Me A Book, volunteers are as important as books.
Without our volunteers, we wouldn’t be able to run our programs and serve the children most in need. We count on our many volunteers to support our work by:
- preparing books for shipments: pulling books from the shelves, placing the BMAB gold quality seal in each book, covering books in plastic, and boxing them up for delivery
- assembling bookcases: affixing donor bookplates and casters to bookcases ready to be shipped
- organizing our warehouse: re-shelving books and taking inventory
- becoming a First Teachers Trainer: learn more by visiting the First Teachers Program Page.
We have multiple volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups, with tasks that are great for team-building and socializing. You can come for just a day, or make us a weekly stop. Bring your friends, co-workers, or children!
We welcome volunteers at various times of the day:
- Individual volunteers 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday
- Groups of volunteers 10:00 am – 5:00 pm, and 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, Monday – Friday
