Partnership-driven
We can’t solve literacy challenges by ourselves.
We partner and work with existing community organizations in each area that we serve. Our local partners work with us to identify who needs our help and how we can best serve those needs.
To determine which sites need beautiful hardcover books, we partner with: - community organizations
- school districts
- individual educators
To fund the installation of libraries and management of First Teachers workshops, we partner with:
- corporations
- foundations
- individual donors
To assemble our libraries and deliver our read-aloud curriculum, we partner with:
- volunteers from the community
- volunteers from partner organizations such as the Junior League, OneBrick, and Hands on Bay Area
- teams of volunteers from corporations such as Cisco, Starbucks, and PricewaterhouseCoopers
And, lastly, to ensure that we are succeeding, we seek feedback from:
- employees at the sites we serve
- families visiting those sites
- annual evaluations of our services and programs
